Tournaments
What is an InterCasino
Tournament:
A tournament is a contest where a player plays a game for a
pre-determined amount of time. A player's success level is determined
by their ranking against other players.
There are four stages in every tournament and these stages follow a
specific sequence. They are identified and described below.
Open for registration:
Users are able to sign-up
for the tournament. The registration period begins prior to the start
of the tournament and continues until the end of the tournament.
Players are free to sign up after this time until the end of the
tournament. This is shown as an 'Upcoming' tournament or an 'In
Progress' tournament.
Tournament begins and
is active: Registered users are able to play. This is shown as
a tournament 'In Progress'.
Tournament play is
completed: Registered users are no longer able to play. This
is shown as a 'Completed' tournament.
Players are ranked and
prizes are assigned: Player rankings are confirmed and the
prizes are assigned accordingly.
There are several key differences between regular game play and
tournament play. Some of these differences are identified below:
- Players must sign up
and pay an entry fee prior to playing
- All participants start
with the same account balance
- Tournament account
balance is separate from Ecash account balance
- Game play is restricted
to a pre-determined amount of time
during a pre-determined period of time (for example, Duration of Play:
100 minutes, Start Date: February 1, End Date: February 10)
- Players compete against
other players, not the dealer
- Prizes are awarded
according to a player's ranking against other players
